Being Thankful

November 27, 2014 Brady Enders

We are thankful for so many things. It is really important to always remember what you are thankful for, then when you are upset or something isn't going as planned you can quickly think back to all that you are thankful for. Some may think there isn't much to be thankful for, but if you make a list I'm sure you will quickly see there are things to be thankful for. It is hard to think of positive happy things when you are having a bad day, but from this point on we are going to try to stop what we are doing and just think about things that are working for us, even something as small as a glass of clean water to drink. The beginning of this week started off great, Sunday was Brady's birthday, but then Monday came haha. Monday felt like a complete failure. We both felt like nothing went right, but at the end of the day we started talking about how most things we let ourselves get upset about are not as important as we think they are.

Here are things we are thankful for:
• Christ's love for us
• One another
• Our humble abode
• Our jobs
• Our family
• Our friends
• Food in our bellies
• Creativity
• Music
• Plenty of clothes to wear
• Chocolate (Nicole)
• Cinnamon rolls
• Donuts (Brady)

That is just a hint of what we are thankful for. There are so many things, and many of those things we forget about because we are surrounded by them often. Let's not take things for granted. We are challenging ourselves to be thankful all year long, not just one day a year. Although we do love celebrating one day (or multiple days) a year.

What are you thankful for?

We hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Always Anchored,
Brady + Nicole

I'm selling a lot of my clothes over at @shop_theanchoredsoul_closet, including this dress. Make me an offer. If you're local we can meet up. If not, I'll ship it to you for $5.
It's really hard for me to let go of things. Especially things that are sentimental or things that were given to me as gifts. But this year it's my goal to try to let go of that because it is just stuff. So.. I'm selling things that I've hardly worn over at @shop_theanchoredsoul_closet if you are interested.
For the first time ever all of our presents are wrapped before midnight on Christmas Eve!
Our gift guide keeps growing! We added 2 more great gift ideas that give back on the blog. Check it out! Link in profile.

Currently still in the car traveling home listening to the beautiful Sigur Rós. We've been on the road for about 13 hours. (This was the cutest door at the beach house we stayed at this weekend.)
When we travel we try to read at least one book from start to finish. This trip we've been reading People Over Profit. It has been such a great read. It not only relates to business, but to one's personal life as well. We are still reading it, but so far the biggest takeaway is how important real authenticity (may sound redundant, but it really isn't when you think about it) and generosity are in life.
This has been my first ever Thanksgiving away from home. I have never missed a holiday with my family. I must admit I was sad that I wouldn't be with them this time, but this trip has been restful, fun and adventurous and I'm thankful for that.
