Well I think you probably know by now that we tend to procrastinate when we get busy. This year we wanted to make a few gifts that would be fun, simple, and cost effective, but also very practical and cute. We are going to show you two ideas that you can accomplish very quickly. These are probably some of the easiest DIY's we have ever done. We really recommend making them. You also probably have a lot of the things you need at home.
The first thing we wanted to show you are these simple coasters. We found ours at Michael's Craft Store in the wood making crafts aisle.
Here's what you need:
-Paint (we used white)
What we did:
-Use the painter's tape to create different shapes on the coasters. We made 2 different angles, chevron and a triangle.
-Take the paint and paint the side that you'd like & don't forget the edges.
-Let the paint dry
-Peal off the tape
The second thing we did was make a photo display that you could also use as a Christmas card display. You can use different twine to make it more festive. We also found the mini clothes pins at Michael's Craft Store.
What you need:
-(cute)Tape or push pins
-Mini Clothes pins
-Markers (we used Sharpie paint markers)
What we did:
-Use the markers to create different patterns on the clothes pins
-Cut the twine the length you would like
-This is pretty much all you would need to do if you are giving this as a gift unless you'd like to give 2 push pins or cute tape along with it.. super simple!
We hope this gave you some inspiration for last minute gift ideas. Christmas is almost here!
What do you have left to do?
